Dang I did it again, left something behind...
Label your things, especially things that other people bring too and that get moved around by yet even other people.
Case in Study: My one and only microphone stand, looks like so many others. Needs tape on it with my name on it. Left in in Asheville, but I need it in Atlanta this comming weekend...

Re: Label yer stuff
Sat, January 29, 2005 - 2:22 PMBusiness cards work - but I just saw a performer who put his picture on his wireless mic receiver...at first we all thought he was soo vain, but then realized what a brilliant idea that was. the sound guy is meeting so many people that keeping names straight can be a pain. the pic made it all so much easier if there were several wireless mic receivers (which there usally are)
business cards on all other stuff is still brilliant.

Re: Label yer stuff
Fri, February 11, 2005 - 7:53 PMI was thinking of another idea the other day. I'm going to put a piece of bright and unusually colored tape on my mike cables on both ends, and probably the stand and mike too. That way, when I'm looking at the board both me and whoever is doing sound can quickly and easily tell which is me. They should make cables in rainbow colors..hmm.
