Just wanted to remind everyone about the upcoming workshop with Abdel Tahour on August 6th in Melbourne Florida.
There will be two workshops available that day as follows:
Beginner / Intermediate
This class will cover traditional hand technique and the most commonly played Middle Eastern rhythms. For the dancers in the class, Abdel will also discuss drumming for dancers to a live drum solo.
Intermediate / Advanced
This class expands on hand technique and rhythms and introduces drum solo phrasing. There will also be a discussion on drumming for dancers and dancers dancing to a live drum solo.
The Cost of each class will be $25 for pre-registration which can be done through our website www.bardicproductions.com or $30 at the door.

Abdel is a master doumbek player and has played around the world and is a regular at Universal Studios and Disney Epcot center.
His style of teaching will motivate you and he will patiently go over the rhythms and finger techniques so one can produce the needed sounds from the doumbek. If you have always wanted to learn to play the doumbek or would just prefer to enhance your playing technique do not miss this great opportunity to meet and work with this master doumbek player.
Afterwards we will be heading to Casablanca Mediterranean Grill for a Hafla / Party beginning at 7pm. All are welcome. Come out and Drum and Dance the night away with great food and great people.

Anybody coming out of town and needing to spend the night, we suggest the Super 8 Motel which will be right up the road from where the classes will be and about 20 minutes from the hafla. 1515 Harbor City Blvd. 321-723-4430.
Please make your reservations by August 1st to ensure you get one of these rooms if you are planning on spending the night.Mention "BARDIC PRODUCT." or "BARDIC PRODUCTIONS" and/or the date of August 6th . There are 7 rooms blocked. You will be about a mile or two up the road from the Workshop which is located at 3275 Dixie Hwy. (Same road, just changes names ). You will be very close to downtown Melbourne, the beach, restaurants, etc... The discounted rate will be $62.99 and with taxes, goes to $69.99. Rooms must be reserved by August 1st. (normally, the regular rate starts at 69.99 before taxes).. I was hoping we could do better for you than this, but this was the best for convenience and location...
